Frequently Asked Questions & Inn Policies
We serve a light breakfast between 8 am and 10:00. Breakfast consists of fresh baked muffins, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, yogurt, orange juice, and tea and coffee (costa rica coffee from fresh ground beans). If you are an early riser, coffee is usually available by 7:30. If you are a late riser, let us know and we will set a breakfast aside for you.
Some guests have food restrictions. Please let us know in advance and we will try to accommodate the need. The most frequent call is for a gluten free breakfast. We can do this. Some guests bring their own food. You can use our refrigerator for your special food.
We change towels and linens every three days for longer stays and for every change over of rooms. If you need more frequent changes, it is not a problem. Just let us know and we will try to accommodate.
If you need additional bathroom supplies please let us know at breakfast or sooner if needed and we will provide.
Friends and relatives are welcome to visit our guests. Visitors must follow house protocalls. No non-guest may remain in the building past 9:00pm. Loud conversations that might disturb other guests are not permitted. No nonguests at breakfast unless special arrangements have made with the innkeeper. Additional charges will apply.
Guests should to be able to enjoy the quiet relaxing atmosphere of our inn without disturbance particularly in the evening. Loud music or other loud sounds are prohibited.
We have speedy WIFI in the various buildings of the inn. Each guest will be provided with the network and the passcode. The internet in the inn is for the exclusive use of our guests.
Most rooms have TV and we currently use Dish network. Those guests who are in rooms without a TV are welcome to use the TV in the main house living room Using the remote can be tricky. When in doubt, ask for help.
There is sufficient parking for all rooms at the inns. Spaces are not assigned, Parking in front of the garages is possible at both properties. Garages contain kayaks and paddleboards rather than vehicles. Please avoid parking on the lawn if you can avoid it.
All guests are required to fill out the guest register form Preregistered guests do not need to fill out the credit card section. Dropins must fill out all the fields.
You always get the lowest rate when you book directly with us. No agency add on charges. Always call, text, or email us for the best rate.
We regard your room as private space. We do not enter during your stay unless there is an emergency or you request us to do so.
Yes! For both of our vaction rentals, The Captians Quarters, and The Cottage are both pet friendly. We also allow pets in most Inn rooms with exterior doors. Dr. Magniss, Miss Eleanor, and the Orchid Suite are all pet friendly rooms. Please download our Inn policies below for our full pet policies.
Guests cancelling with short notice will be charged in full unless we are able to fill the room, we will make good effort to fill so you wont be charged. Please download our inn policies below for our full cacellation policy.
